Digital Signatures: Status and Challenge
نویسندگان
چکیده
Digital signature is a central cryptographic primitive. Since the standard definition on the security of signature schemes was given [19], there have been many attempts to design practical and provably secure signature schemes in this security model. Different assumptions and tools have been used in these constructions. In this work, we give a survey on these signature schemes and show the status and challenge in signatures.

Analyzing registry, log files, and prefetch files in finding digital evidence in graphic design applications
The products of graphic design applications leave behind traces of digital information which can be used during a digital forensic investigation in cases where counterfeit documents have been created. This paper analyzes the digital forensics involved in the creation of counterfeit documents. This is achieved by first recognizing the digital forensic artifacts left behind from the use of graphi...

Digital signature is one of the basic primitives in cryptography. A common paradigm of obtaining signatures, known as the Fiat-Shamir (FS) paradigm, is to collapse any Σ-protocol (which is 3-round public-coin honest-verifier zero-knowledge) into a non-interactive scheme with hash functions that are modeled to be random oracles (RO). The Digital Signature Standard (DSS) and Schnorr’s signature s...
متن کاملAcceptance of Digital Signatures: A Matter of Trust
Trust between two entities is necessary before digital signatures techniques can be implemented. The US Federal Government has developed a “bridge” architecture to extend trust beyond a single trust domain. In sharp contrast to the bridge architecture exists the “end user” trust model. Both methods can be used to exchange digital signatures, however, the process to obtain Federal Bridge status ...
متن کاملMaintaining the Validity of Digital Signatures in B2B Applications
Electronic transactions with commercial values between two business parties may want to be legally bound. Digital signature is an important security mechanism to provide evidence regarding the status of a transaction. However, evidence solely based on digital signatures may not enforce strong nonrepudiation. Additional mechanisms are required to make digital signatures as valid non-repudiation ...
متن کاملSupporting Digital Signatures in Mobile Environments
Digital signatures, like physical signatures, can verify that a specific user affixed their signature to a document and they can also verify that the document is the same as when the user affixed the digital signature. Digital signature systems (DSS) use public key cryptography methods to create digital signatures. The integrity of the digital signature is tied to the security of the user’s pri...
